The Nike Shox TL Downs A “Chili Pepper” Colorway

Things are heating up for the Nike Shox TL, and not just due to the warmer months ahead. No — instead, the piston-powered model is taking on a spicy overhaul for the Summer/Fall slate, capitalizing on neon shades with the Shox TL “Light Crimson/Volt.”

You don’t need any botanical knowledge to instantly read the red/green ombre as a connection to the Capsicum family, already visited on several previous occasions this decade. Bracketed on all sides by black synthetics, the two hi-vis hues are centralized on the gradient mesh that centers this design, additionally popping on the heel cup and surrounding piping, as well as with a vibrant interior insert. While this is a particularly notable application of the theme, such gradient looks have been a growing aesthetic on the model, creatively applied on both the foundation of previous pairs and their TPU overlays.

No matter where you ascribe the inspiration for its palette, the Nike Shox TL in “Light Crimson” and “Volt” should be landing via Nike.com in the coming weeks, retailing for $170 in men’s sizing. Catch official images just ahead.
