The Air Force 1 “Smoke Air Mirrors” pack tributes the history and reputations of the two most famous Air Force 1 colorways; “Triple White” and “Triple Black.” Both feature wear-away uppers, but the idea behind each pair’s transformation is different. The “Dirty Triple White” Air Force 1 is for all those who wear Forces until they’re cooked – overcooked, you might say. The sneaker comes absolutely smoked out the box, complete with enough noticeable scuffs to make Golden Goose and Balenciaga fans proud. With wear, however, the outer layer gives way to a clean “Triple White” Air Force 1 underneath, essentially reversing the sneaker aging cycle.
The “Triple Triple Black” Air Force 1 takes a complete opposite approach. As many purchase black sneakers to hide the effects of heavy wear, neither layer features any sort of distressing. Instead, over time, the sneaker gives way to an even darker shade of black underneath. Both colorways feature .SWOOSH branding on the heel, tongue, insoles, and lace dubrae, not to mention stitched mini Swooshes on the lateral side. Moreover, the sneakers come with matching toothbrushes so as to give you a head-start on unearthing that bottom layer.
