Andrew Rizzo White Castle Heelys? Did somebody say sneaker of the year? We’re kidding of course, but these are simply too fun and wonderfully goofy to not write about. In celebration of National Slider Day, the regional fast-food chain has linked up with Heelys for a limited-edition capsule releasing May 15th.
Dubbed the “Slider Riders,” these wheeled-up high-tops feature a slew of menu-inspired visuals. Small illustrations of sliders, fries, and soft drinks can be found on the sides, while burger-inspired tongues add even more unique flavor. White Castle’s “Follow Your Crave” slogan appears on the mudguard as well as an added hangtag, while the heel features brick detailing inspired by the restaurant’s facade. With all that being said, the real highlight lives underfoot. As 2000s kids are all surely aware, all Heelys come with removable wheels that allow you to rollerblade around.
Black and white colorways of the White Castle Heelys will be available exclusively through heelys.com on May 15th, aka National Slider Day. Both retail for $75 and will be available in youth + adult sizes. See detailed images below if you’re considering copping.
