With a quarter of the season behind us, the 2025 MLB campaign s in full swing. It’s too early on to see who the true contenders for the World Series as well as end-of-season awards are, but at this juncture we can crown Nike as true innovators of the on-field jersey movement in the 21st century.
Their City Connect series with Major League Baseball first debuted in 2023 with a limited number of teams, but that figure has since expanded to include the Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, Washington Nationals, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, Miami Marlins, and Arizona Diamondbacks.
To commemorate the widened field, Nike is dropping a matching assortment of Air Max 270 colorways for each of the nine teams (see them all below). Each pair is decorated to align with the alternate city-inspired designs, with each franchise’s customized logos appearing on the heel padding as well as the insoles.
Nike IS set to launch the Air Max 270 MLB City Connect pack on June 6th on Nike.com and select retailers such as DICK’S for $160.
