The Nike KD 18 Heads Back To “Seat Pleasant”

Coming this June.

The Nike KD 18 Heads Back To “Seat Pleasant”

For the basketball public, Kevin Durant has been a part of our lives for so long that it’s hard to imagine him without his well-stocked awards cabinet, let alone without an NBA game under his belt. Around the release of the KD 6 “Seat Pleasant,” both periods were in focus, a juncture where the Slim Reaper looked back at his Maryland origins amid the historic season that’d earn him the Maurice Podoloff Trophy. A decade and nine All-Star appearances later, the surefire Hall of Famer revisits that seminal locale with the KD 18 “Seat Pleasant.”

First debuted by the man himself during regular season action, the clearest through-line from this shoe to its earlier predecessor is the flash of “Hyper Royal” on the mesh foundation, the closest shade to the exact pantones that defined the 6. It’s more a spiritual successor in that regard, instead seemingly taking direct aesthetic inspiration from the Terra Humara “Photo Blue” last released in 2018. Given that one of the silhouette’s already-revealed looks took from the iconic “Air Bakin,” this archival influence isn’t too out-of-place, especially given the KD 18 as a whole borrows its spiny overlays already.

Expect the Nike KD 18 “Seat Pleasant” to hit shelves this June, carrying its usual $150 MSRP. Catch official images included below.
