The ASICS GEL-NYC Cleans Up In “White/Smoke Grey” For Summer

With warm weather continuing to move in, it’s becoming prime season for ASICS’ lineup of mesh Sportstyle sneakers. The ASICS GEL-NYC looks to be a popular retro pick-up for yet another season running, now presented in a “White/Smoke Grey” colorway featuring some unique blocking.

Looking like something Fragment Design might conceive, an all-white upper portion is contrasted by “Smoke Grey” on the mudguard and midsole top. A dark navy blue accent looms over the heel of the mudguard, matched by more navy hits on the GEL capsules just below. The rest of the midsole cleans up in white, effectively framing the “Smoke Grey” portion, while a black outsole caps off the color touches underfoot. Compositionally, the GEL-NYC favors its standard build with a mesh base, leather underlays, and suede overlays.

The ASICS GEL-NYC “White/Smoke Grey” is currently up for pre-order on the ASICS website, but sizes are moving quickly. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links if you’re interested in securing a pair. The sneaker retails for $130 and will begin shipping out on May 31st.
