Sneaker News The Perfect Pair? Sole Mates? We’ll hold off on the sneaker puns for now to introduce Chuckmates, a new blind dating show by Converse hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg of the ever-viral Chicken Shop Date.
With the help of Amelia, who will undoubtedly bring her awkward wit to the mix, Converse is bringing dating away from the toxic swipe culture of apps and into the iRL world, but with a twist. Rather than making selections based on looks or prompts, the candidates must woo their beaus with their choice of Chuck Taylors. The potential suitors are hidden, and only their Chucks will be shown to the contestants.
This fun new series continues Converse’s “Love, Chuck” campaign that debuted earlier in February with Tyler, The Creator, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Alexis Sablone, and more in tow.
The first episode will debut on Wednesday, May 28th with contestant Jite, a singer, model, and actress, as she searches for love amongst her handsome Chucks: Trevor, Jaelin, and Jaydon. Episode 2 highlights makeup artist Eisley who hopes to find her next paramour in either Ella, Wini, or Monse.
