Nike’s Air Flightposite Era Continues With A Classic Sail And Black

With retro basketball footwear trends zeroed in on the late-1990s to early 2000s era of design, Nike has been unleashing its gems from that particular time-span and reminding the world that the Swoosh is, once again, the best shoe brand in history. The Air Flightposite is one of Eric Avar’s many breathtaking designs that still stands up today; brands are currently exploring foam-molded exteriors and outer zippers today, whereas this model is over two decades old.

This silhouette is poised to have its most fruitful year yet; recently, we showed you a first look at the “Dusty Cactus” colorway, but before we get to those hitting shelves, Nike has revealed a new Sail/Black iteration that strongly reminds us of the “Pearl White” colorway from the model’s original run.

The one gripe with the present-day Flightposite Retro is the incorrect outsoles that the brand first introduced in 2014. When Nike changes the outsole bottoms, it is usually due to cost. Speaking of, the Air Flightposite now clocks in at $250, $10 higher than its usual MSRP. Grab these on SNKRS and select retailers on June 12th.
