We have another “Rare Air” Jordan release to report, although unlike the rest of the series’ recent/upcoming pairs, this one isn’t a numbered Air Jordan model (or even a basketball shoe at that). In a rather surprising twist, the Jordan Trunner LX is mixing a “Rare Air” edition into its comeback campaign.
In case you’ve missed our coverage thus far, the Trunner LX is indeed coming back in several colorways starting late Summer/early Fall 2025. The all-purpose athletic shoe originally released in 2000 and spearheaded the Jumpman’s expansion beyond basketball, with American boxer Roy Jones Jr. serving as the face of the model.
The “Rare Air” Trunner LX is distinguished by mismatched straps; the left shoe features green, while the right features red. White and red “Rare Air” text appears over blue insoles, matched by the same color combo on the tongue tags/Jumpman logo placements. The pull tabs feature a new reflective streak down the middle, and the quilted upper portion is split between grey and off-white on the medial and lateral sides, respectively. Navy leather and black mesh come to a helm around the toe and heel, while an off-white midsole and textured, recycled-looking grey outsole round out the delivery underfoot.
The Jordan 1 and Jordan 3 have already added to the “Rare Air” family in 2025, with the Jordan 4 and Jordan 11 “Rare Air” in tow for later on. The “Rare Air” Trunner LX doesn’t have a firm release date yet, but we’re anticipating a Fall 2025 drop (meaning between July-September). See official images below if you’re moved to cop a pair.
