Hairy Suede Wraps The New Balance 991v2 “Mineral Green”

Another Flimby banger.

Hairy Suede Wraps The New Balance 991v2 “Mineral Green”

Models like the New Balance 9060 and 1906R might be more popular among casual consumers, but true NB heads know that the 991v2 is one of the best things cooking for the Boston brand at the moment. Following the release of a multicolor pack and strong collabs by names like KITH and thisisneverthat, New Balance’s Flimby, UK factory is dropping a “Grounded Pastels” duo on June 19th. On the heels of the “Celestial Blue” colorway, we’re now circling back with images of the “Mineral Green.”

First spotted in the New Balance Made In UK Spring/Summer preview back in February, the “Mineral Green” 991v2 is made distinct by hairy suede overlays. The titular hue also appears on the base, complemented by grey leather underlays and tasteful navy hits on the New Balance logos/991 stitching. Pre-aged cream touches land on the laces and heel portion of the midsole, while white lining rounds out the delivery. New Balance dropped a likeminded “Kombu Green” 991v2 in 2024, although that shoe featured smooth suede and a slightly darker color. The model has embraced a handful of hairy suede styles throughout its relatively short life, namely a “Brandied Apricot” colorway and Salehe Bembury collab.

The New Balance 991v2 “Mineral Green” releases via newbalance.com on June 19th, priced at $250 (the standard MSRP). See official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming NBs.
