Some of the foremost releases that exemplified “opening the vault” have been members of the Air Max family: the Stash Air Max 95, Patta Air Max 1, HUF Air Max 1, or the still-awaited “Escape” Air Max 90. It remains a distinct possibility, then, that additional coveted pairs could eventually hit the shelves anew. No signal of the totemic “Hufquake” has come about just yet, so in the interim, maybe an adjacent GR can scratch the itch.
Indeed, the cracked patterns that bring the California imprint’s 2007 release is absent on this pair, but a black foundation and “Electric Green” accents on the Swoosh and in various branding notes makes these a close, albeit far simplified, replication. Interestingly enough, these first images to trickle out actually depict kids’ sizing, a range understandably absent from the “Hufquake,” opening up another new lane that this general release might be able to fill that the real thing can’t.
Expect this GS Nike Air Max 1 “Electric Green” to trickle out to Nike.com and partnering retailers in the near future, with adult sizing likely to join once officially released.
