The adidas Dame X “Silver Metallic” Carries Yeezy 2 “Pure Platinum” Vibes

Though Kanye West is currently dormant in the footwear realm, all you need to do to get reminders of his influence is to step into nearly any comment section on new silhouettes. Sneakerheads are quick to draw connections from any new product to Ye whenever the opportunity presents itself, but sometimes the connection is all but undeniable, as is the case with the adidas Dame X “Silver Metallic.”

Any shoe with the combination of a neon red sock-liner and steely upper will draw this comparison in our corner of the world, even if the colorway wasn’t something that adidas explored during their time with the ever-controversial artist. Though the model is yet to even hit shelves (the Dame X “Lime Burst” will do so on June 7th), this pair helps cast light onto the diverse material make-ups that the model can step into. Shimmering synthetics and mesh bisect the shoe across its middle portion, leaving the combo of plush fabric, rubber, and mesh at the collar and outsole to provide matte anchoring.

The adidas Dame X “Silver Metallic” is currently projected to release as a part of the Three Stripes’ Fall 2025 slate, commanding a $90 retail price.
