The OG looks barely recognizable.

The Y2K Vibes Are Strong On The Air Jordan 1 Method Of Make v3

It seems that increasingly, Nike, Inc. is willing to latch onto trends that develop outside of their walls rather than miss out on the action. The Nike Air Max Phenomena, meeting the “sneaker loafer” wave, or the ReactX Rejuven8, adopting the aesthetics of a certain comfort-focused company, are proof of that thesis. However, their latest swing might just be their biggest both in reach and in principle, switching the Air Jordan 1 into a tech runner via the Method of Make v3.

With the previous two iterations of Method of Make turning Mike’s first signature chunky and then luxurious, the sporty bend of this retooling is still a shock, pushing into an aesthetic we’ve really never seen on the AJ1. The hardware changes are immediately apparent, both visually and as representation of throwback runners.

Of the group, the most impactful come with the shimmering geometric patterns that outline the leather panels, the switch to diamond-knit mesh underneath, or the pronounced pull-tabs running down the throat. From a color standpoint, this builds off the initially revealed “Metallic Silver” with flares of “Luminous Green” accents, equally mirroring the vibrant flair we see so often on silhouettes like the Zoom Vomero 5.

The Air Jordan 1 Method of Make v3 hasn’t yet hit public hands, but expect this “Luminous Green” colorway to be one of the first choices once the silhouette does touch down. If you’re aiming to grab a pair once arrived, watch our Jordan Releases 2025 landing page to stay on top of the latest info.
