Andrew Rizzo The Nike A’One era got off to a blazing hot start, with Nike dropping a total of five colorways during the model’s debut month in May. A quiet June has allowed the dust to settle a bit, but it won’t be long before Nike replenishes its A’ja Wilson shoe stock with new releases. Two pairs are currently on tap for Fall 2025; a grade school edition called “Her Time To Shine” and this adult’s pair dubbed “Unapologetic.”
The “Unapologetic” name comes from A’ja’s Unapologetic Girls Summit; an annual gathering that encourages young girls to embrace their individuality and be “unapologetically themselves.” As for the sneakers, eyes are first drawn to “Metallic Gold” Swoosh logos on both sides; a fitting embodiment of the excellence A’ja instills in herself and the next generation. Shades of “Hyper Violet” land on the pearl-inspired synthetic base, with the hue then returning on the top portion of the midsole for cohesion. The rest of the sneaker favors “Fierce Purple” treatments, save for more gold branding and teal accents on the medial side.
