In that way, the Nike Air Max 1 “Evergreen Aura” is a perfect anniversary gift, a slight tint on the “Sport Red”/”Game Royal” scheme that’s been shorthand in the sneaker community for a generation plus. Purists will no doubt note that the palette swap also comes with a material swap, shifting to leather on the Swoosh, heel counter, and mudguard. For wider audiences, it’s a change that means increased durability, perfect if you’re planning on making this sprightly edition a mainstay of the summer rotation.
