Nike Honored Kevin Durant With Fanatics Fest Exclusive “Seattle Sonics” KD 18

Kevin Durant and the NBA fanbase knew that a blockbuster trade would happen this offseason. Nobody could predict it would go down on the exact moment he was on stage at Fanatics Fest 2025 in New York City. Easy Money Sniper found out about the move (at least publicly) the same time as the public did, but his response was less surprise and more relief. After all, KD had the ability to veto trades, eventually funneling the possible outcomes to one specific destination: Houston.

Lost in the mix was a hyper-limited sneaker release that occurred during KD’s appearance. In celebration of hiss eighteen years of service in the NBA and partnership with Nike, the Swoosh created an mega-exclusive 18-pair KD 18 colorway inspired by his rookie–and lone–season with Seattle. Featuring a booming green/yellow/white colorway to match the Sonics uniforms, this collector’s item is decorated with tie-dye patterns as a nod to the Seattle, the date of the 2007 NBA Draft Night, and a Rookie Of The Year logo on the insoles. An added hangtag with holographic striping nods to a specific rookie card from that 2007-2008 campaign.

Durant was on hand to hand out the pairs to the very lucky few, autographing pairs for lucky guests.

Below is a detailed look at this limited edition Nike KD 18, captured by photographer @uninstructedvision. As it stands, this KD 18 is not expected to hit the public.
