3sixteen Is Dropping A Limited Batch Of Dyed Pairs Their Saucony “Gesso” Collaboration

For over two decades, 3sixteen has been supplying its clientele with some of the best denim in the world. Now, they’re bringing their world-class taste to their first-ever collaboration with Saucony and the Peregrine 15, partnering with a natural dye company based in the Amish Country to deliver true 1-of-1 takes on the shoes.

Dubbed the “Gesso”, the 3sixteen x Saucony Peregrine 15 features an airy light beige colorway and gum bottom soles to create a true lifestyle take on the trail runner. The NY-based brand’s discerning touch is seen via the hairy suede on the tongue and the heel, while the rest of the silhouette remains true to its technical roots.

The selection of the base color was intended to be a blank canvas, allowing the wearer to get creative and customize to their own desire. To display the capability, 3sixteen partnered with Green Matters Natural Dye Co. for a thorough testing process to see just how the synthetic materials on a factory-produced running shoe would accept the dye. They created four different custom colorways of the silhouette, each dyed with natural ingredients; Indigo utilizes GOTS-certified natural indigo, Sunflower is dyed with weld flowers, Granite is a combination of cutch, iron and chestnut, and Rubia is dyed with madder root and chestnut. In total, they completed 400 dyed pairs, each different from the next.

3sixteen Saucony Peregrine 15 Release Date 1

The Indigo and Sunflower dyed editions will be available on July 10th for $190 exclusively at 3sixteen.com and their flagship locations in NYC and LA. The Granite and Rubia will be available later in July. The undyed version of the shoes will be dropping on July 17th for $140 at 3sixteen, Saucony, and select retailers globally.
