Andrew Rizzo It’s far too early to start the “best collaboration of year” conversation, but the upcoming Levi’s Air Max 95 pack is easily one of the strongest contenders we’ve seen thus far. An iconic denim brand meets an iconic Air Max model that’s currently top of mind for its 30th anniversary… need we say more? While we’re all crossing our fingers in hopes of securing a pair, Nike’s lineup of general release 95s is expanding with an “Obsidian” colorway comparable to most limited Levi’s style.
We’re of course thinking of the “Obsidian” Levi’s Air Max 95; the most limited member of the upcoming trio which will only be available through Levi’s channels. This GR option obviously doesn’t feature the same sashiko-like denim of the synonymous collab, but its palette opens the door for a comparison. The tongue and upper portion feature the titular “Obsidian” hue, while a compelling “Obsidian/Diffused Blue/Celestine Blue” gradient looms over the model’s standard suede layering.
