Despite his new Los Angeles home, there really isn’t much overlap between Luka Doncic and Kanye West. A lack of a personal connection isn’t a hurdle in bringing together the duo’s footwear legacies, however. As the Jordan Luka 4 begins to get its feet under it, it’s harkening to one of the OG looks for the totemic Air Yeezy 1.

Take this news alongside similar looks adorning the Nike ST Flare, and despite some slight aesthetic divergences from Mr. West’s 2009 endeavor, it becomes rather clear that Nike, Inc. is tapping back into the spread of Yeezy colorways that defined the mid-2010s. This edition’s pink collar and bright neon green outsole are the clearest ties to the “Net” legacy, while a strip of earthy tonality down the midline takes a more creative referential approach. On a personal note for Luka, a fierce paw print defines the suede heel tab, likely alluding to the tiger tattoo that Doncic has sported since his days in the Spanish pro league.
