The Nike Dunk Low “Smurf” Takes Cues From A Coveted 90s Release

Nike made some unexpected headlines with one of their SNKRS Showcase announcements at the tail end of 2024: the Pro B, an SB-before-SB model, would get its first retro nearly two decades after its release. Indeed, that archival model has been a consistent presence throughout the year, but its latest impression isn’t a retro colorway or new edition. Instead, the Nike Dunk Low Pro B “Smurf” imbues its sportswear cousin with its coveted arrangement, resulting in the Nike Dunk Low “Smurf.”

In truth, it’s more a general homage rather than a one-to-one adaptation, as the lack of gum sole and material divergences would indicate. Namely, suede runs from heel to toe on the upper of this modern counterpart, with a hairier  material taking over the overlays while a more delicate version handles things below. All that said, the resemblance is still clear all the same, and the all-over blue composition could be a suitable facsimile for the hardcore collectors out there. It’s a needed alternative, too —  the real thing, even used, would run you at least $2000.

Luckily, the Nike Dunk Low “Smurf” doesn’t even come close to that price, instead clocking in with the usual $120 MSRP. A concrete date for this edition hasn’t emerged just yet, but watch over its launch via our Sneaker Release Dates page — you can generally expect a Fall 2025 debut.
