The Nike Air Max Plus Cordura Returns In “Dark Smoke Grey”

Sean McDowell's design gets endowed with the patented fabric.

The Nike Air Max Plus Cordura Returns In “Dark Smoke Grey”

For how often the Cordura make-ups make their way into the Nike catalog and how frequently we see the Air Max Plus as a part of seasonal offerings, the two haven’t collided often at all. Indeed, it’s only a nocturnal edition from 2021 that speaks to the hardened makeover. Equally surprising, Beaverton is revisiting the concept some four years later, introducing the Air Max Plus Cordura in “Dark Smoke Grey.”

Again, this is an instance where the benefits of the patented synthetic within footwear is extremely apparent, boasting both a resistance to the elements and a resistance to abrasion that makes it a perfect fit the harsher seasons ahead in the Northern Hemisphere. Replacing the mesh base layer the AMP typically relies on, Cordura’s weather-ready bonafides match the wintery palette utilized throughout, a greyscale adornment of “Dark Smoke Grey,” “College Grey,” and black particularly effective on the iconic wavy overlays. If things are too one-note for your tastes with this monochromatic arrangement, some vibrant pops sneak in with the chrome Swoosh and yellow hits underfoot.

The Nike Air Max Plus Cordura is expected to drop as a part of the Fall/Winter 2025 slate, retailing for $180. Catch official images included below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates.
