Nike Unites The Air Max 90 And Air Max Plus In “Black Reflective”

For years now, the Nike Air Max 90 and Air Max Plus have been shoe store staples, largely devoid of real hype but an extremely common sight on city streets as a result of that general accessibility. Perhaps as a way to bring some more profile to the Visible Air icons or maybe just to unite two of the Swoosh’s steadiest soldiers, the Sean McDowell and Tinker Hatfield design are teaming up within an upcoming “Black Reflective” pack.

As promised in its unofficial title, the collection revolves around nocturnal profiles and 3M detailing, a touch easiest seen in the lights-out images uploaded to Nike servers. For the Air Max Plus, it comes outlining the glossy mudguard and heel cup, sneaking in one final reflective piece with the side mini Swooshes. On the Air Max 90, its treatments essentially come in the same spots, tracing its wavy mudguard and intersecting a larger Swoosh. On either pair, the remaining real estate keeps to black leather, resulting in understated designs that imbue eye-catching flair when the light strikes just right.

Both pairs in this Nike “Black Reflective” pack, the Air Max 90 and Air Max Plus, are expected out for Fall 2025. Retail pricing is unknown at the time of this writing. Check out official images of either style included below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for further info as it trickles out.
