Asphalt Gold’s Salomon XT-4 “Transit” Is For The Avid Travelers

The “airport flex” has become a key component of travel for sneakerheads in the social media age. Think about it; what better way to share you’ve got boots on the ground abroad than by a posting a sneaker pic with your location tagged? With vacation season in full swing, German retailer Asphalt Gold is releasing a Salomon XT-4 collab avid travelers should be proud to show off on their Insta stories.

Living up to its name, Asphalt Gold checks in with a low-key grey colorway featuring metallic silver overlays and off-white hits on the midsole. The real highlight lives on the tongue strips, with the left reading “Arrival” and right reading “Departure.” Co-branded insoles featuring globe graphics speak to the overarching theme, complemented by alternating Asphalt Gold/Salomon logos across the tongue and heel.

As we’re all well aware, airport shoes need to be more than just visually appealing. They’ve got to be comfortable, and if you’re packing light, they should also be versatile and ready for any weather you might encounter. The Salomon XT-4 checks off all those boxes, suitable for both coffee runs and demanding outdoor conditions all the same.

Asphalt Gold’s Salomon XT-4 “Transit” releases in-store at the retailer’s Frankfurt and Darmstadt locations on July 26th, followed by an online release exclusively through asphaltgold.com on August 2nd.
