Nike has been dipping into its running archive and unleashing lifestyle-focused retro runs for long-forgotten models. We’ve seen it with the tabi-toe’d Air Rift, and now we’re seeing it with the Air Superfly; a low-profile track shoe that cut its teeth in the Y2K era. In a prime example of the model’s new positioning, the Beaverton brand is coming out with a luxe “Pony Hair” pack for Fall 2025.
Chic materials meet a sporty silhouette here, with the Superfly dropping its usual synthetics in favor of faux pony hair. It’s a trendy texture swap and one we’re seeing on several upcoming women’s releases, including “Pony Hair” Air Force 1s, SB Janoskis, and more. Nike further creates a luxe foundation with a new leather tongue and toe box, making the outsole and low-profile silhouette itself the lone sporty remnants.
Two colorways make up the Air Superfly LX “Pony Hair” pack; a “Sail/Muslin” releasing July 31st and “Black/Off Noir” releasing August 5th. Both retail for $125 and will be available via Nike SNKRS and boutiques; see official images below if you’re planning to cop.
