It ain’t Fall until the fat lady wears wheat sneakers. Nike is ready to bring back a wave of Flax-toned classics and new issues, signaling the changing of the seasons from the sunny summer to the cooler Autumn quarter. There’s no more obvious of a marker than wheat-toned kicks, a category that Nike has specialized in for decades.
Alongside the return of the Air Force 1 “Flax” in its various heights, Nike will be presenting a number of its classic and modern styles in the tonal shade. Here, the Air More Uptempo Low takes a crack on the iconic colorway, dressing the modified Pippens from the mid-1990s with a top-to-bottom treatment of the golden hue. Only the Swoosh logo on the heel (pictured above) and the visible Air unit goes against the grain with a white shade.
This Air More Uptempo Low tends to hit stores without notice or firm release dates, so expect them later this Fall season for $170.
