The Nike Kobe 9 EM Protro “Wolf Grey” Hones In On Obsession

Launching this Fall.

The Nike Kobe 9 EM Protro “Wolf Grey” Hones In On Obsession

With the Mamba Day festivities just weeks away on August 24th, Nike is gearing up for a series of launches that express the core values of the Mamba Mentality. Leveraging the upcoming Kobe 9 EM Protro TB releases, Nike is positioning these sneakers as scripture of sorts with each chapter representing the driving force behind Kobe’s success in the game.

This upcoming “Wolf Grey” colorway, which just surfaced via official images, follows suit with an Engineered Mesh upper and a drop-in React foam midsole that offers responsive cushioning. Despite the subtlety of the colorway, the Kobe 9 EM Protro “Wolf Grey” reflects the well-documented “Obsession” that Kobe had for the game. Although they may seem like tall tales, the stories of Bryant gearing up for the gym while his teammates were out in the club are not exaggerated; he was truly obsessed with evolving his game and being stronger than yesterday, and we were all witness to just how much that dedication paid off.

The Nike Kobe 9 EM Protro “Wolf Grey” is expected to launch this Fall 2025 season for $180 on Nike.com and select Nike Hoops retailers; see the official images ahead and stay tuned for updates.
