As you’ve heard (read) us say on countless occasions before, issuing straightforward bring-backs of Mike’s most essential kicks or otherwise referencing that same area via adjacent pairs. Though the Air Jordan 10 may not be a common sight in “top five Jordan models” lists, the Jumpman themselves have been willing to give the silhouette its just due in 2025. The shoe at hand and the Air Jordan 10 “Shadow” expected later this year reprise two of the most famous looks for the silhouette, but the one featured here has some extra juice that pushes it into collector’s territory.

Indeed, if you’ve caught any of our (or any, really) coverage of the Air Jordan 10 “Steel,” you’ll know its central design cue is the return of the toe-cap, an OG aspect that was divisive not just for consumers, but for His Airness himself. A slight strip of leather at the front of the shoe only made its way onto this grey and black colorway before being removed entirely from the AJ10, yet it signals that overall commitment to OG construction that the brand has championed all year.

Additionally, this marks the first time since the 1994 original that the Jumpman branding on the sole comes in light blue. Previous retros instead opted for a more Bulls-friendly “Varsity Red.” For one final nod to the long-timers, this pair comes in a hardwood collage shoe box, alluding to the one that most famously came with the first-ever retro of the Air Jordan 1.
