Coco Gauff and New Balance Go All-Out With US Open Tennis Capsule

With the major season in full swing, brands across the landscape are kicking their tennis efforts into high gear. Few have as much motivation as New Balance, carrying huge stakes into each checkpoint with one of the sport’s most recognizable faces in tow, Coco Gauff. Indeed, as the sports world begins to make preparations to set on Queens at the end of the month, New Balance Tennis has unveiled its offerings for the US Open, with plenty of appearances from the Atlanta native.

For Coco’s contributions, the guiding light here is the phenom’s 2023 US Open win that kickstarted her meteoric rise to stardom. The truest embrace comes on her signature Coco CG2, draped in the fire red that she sported on that fateful September day. While that on-court style is likely the main prize for actual tennis players, two editions of her Coco Delray widen the scope, aiming at casual wearers as well with cream/pink and cream/red options that keep that Arthur Ashe stadium spirit intact.

Though her status as tennis’ most recognizable face means that even for New Balance’s purposes, Coco is the priority, she crucially won’t be the only athlete in the field come the tournament. Tommy Paul, Jordan Thompson, and McCartney Kessler are among the male athletes that’ll debut the Fresh Foam X CT-Rally 2, the sequel effort to a hard court silhouette that’s paced the catalog in recent years. Finally, Sorana Cirstea’s choice will be the FuelCell 996v6 in “New Spruce and White,” pairing minty overtones with its stability-focused hardware.

The New Balance Tennis US Open collection hits NB.com on August 15th, with retail pricing as follows: Coco CG2 ($160), Coco Delray ($110), Fresh Foam X CT-Rally v2 ($150), and FuelCell 996v6 ($135)
