Though there was a brief hiatus following Song For The Mute’s inaugural adidas collaboration from 2022, the Australian label has shown absolutely no signs of slowing down in the time since. They’ve torn through seasonal releases on a bi-annual basis ever sense, and as Fall/Winter looms, Song For The Mute takes a step out of its comfort zone with the adidas Taekwondo and adizero PR.
While again, the fashion brand’s canon with adidas now spans over 25 unique pairs, this marks their first time taking on trendy fare, instead restricting their silhouette selection to either chunky tech runners or well-established adidas icons (see their Adistar Cushion or Shadowturf for the former and Country or Campus for the latter.) Now, Song For The Mute takes on the low-pro movement in two differing directions, embracing racer and ballet style with the adizero PR and Taekwondo, respectively.
Despite the aesthetic shift, no doubt the SFTM touch is still felt faithfully; the Taekwondo Mei wears baggy suede in place of its usual leather, additionally sporting a wavy toe cap and distressed Three Stripes branding. Keeping with their neutral hallmark, cream, olive, and black options define this half of the collection. The adizero PR is largely left untouched in terms of hardware, but does wrar a few pear-like bangles on its sidewalls, and unites its own trio of white, red, anb lack with faux-aged soles underfoot.
The Song For The Mute x adidas Taekwondo and adizero PR are expected to touch down in short order. Retail price for either silhouette hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but scroll ahead to view the full breadth of this Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
