The New Balance 2000 Keeps Checking Off Boxes In “Triple Black”

An essential look for Fall/Winter 2025.

The New Balance 2000 Keeps Checking Off Boxes In “Triple Black”

One of the splashiest new sneakers of 2025 has surfaced in an essential colorway for Fall/Winter 2025. The New Balance 2000, featuring the Boston brand’s ABZORB SBS cushioning on steroids, is continuing its run in stealthy “Triple Black” makeup.

There’s not much else to be said that “Triple Black” doesn’t already cover. It’s an all-black sneaker; simple as that. With that being said, the model’s quirky tooling offers several points of discussion. A total of nine ABSORB SBS pods appear underfoot, many of which assume a droplet shape. Synthetic overlays wrap a mesh base layer, offering ample foot containment while also maintaining an element of sleekness. These are a more than solid choice for those who champion all-black footwear on the daily, whether required by work or simply a fashion preference.

The New Balance 2000 “Triple Black” is due out Fall/Winter 2025 via newbalance.com and retailers, priced at $170. See detailed images below if these might compete for a spot in your rotation.
