Official images of the Air Jordan 3 “Mexico” have been updated. Initial first look shots were rather comprehensive, providing looks at the quote on the interior tag, special edition shoe box, gilded detailing, and premium leather overlays — if anything, these Nike studio photos help to confirm that arrangement. A September 2025 launch is still expected for this shoe.

In the 2020s decade, Mexico City has grown to become one of the select hot spots for footwear and fashion activations across Latin America. Just last year, Jordan Brand began its celebration with its America neighbor with the Air Jordan 5 “El Grito”, a stunning nod to Mexico’s War of Independence. In 2025, the storytelling continues with a special Air Jordan 3 that nods to the country’s iconic lucha libre wrestling.

A first look at this upcoming September 2025 release has surfaced, revealing an incredible leather overlay with jagged edges and snakeskin detail inspired by the masks commonly worn by lucha libre wrestlers. The exotic leathers continue on the red toe-guard and heel-guard in red, while the green appears on the ankle color. Rounding out the patriotic Mexican colorway is touches of gold that appear on the metallic logo hits on the tongue as well as the Jumpman on the heel.

Furthermore, Jordan Brand has fixed up an incredible shoebox that mimic the bold and colorful poster advertisements commonly seen throughout the city and in Mexican newspapers. Behind the tongue is “Más vale maña que fuerza”, a proverbial phrase that translates to “brains are better than brawn”.

Again, a release is expected September 2025; stay tuned for firm release updates.
