The Jalen Brunson Kobe 6 is an absolute must for Knicks die-hards; a well-deserved PE release for the most beloved man in the basketball capital of the world. With that being said, every hot drop comes with its fair share of L-takers. If you end up among them later this year, think of this “Knicks” Nike SB Vertebrae as something of a consolidation prize.

Borrowing the colors of New York’s heart and soul, the Vertebrae here features a dusky blue upper with orange hits on the Swoosh, tongue, and insoles. There’s a non-zero chance that this is your first look at the Vertebrae, and we wouldn’t blame you if that’s the case. This is the type of Nike SB model you’re probably only aware of if you actually skate, meaning its a skate shop mainstay yet not a sneaker that will dominate headlines. The two main qualities to note are a sculpted, biology-inspired cage around the quarter and a rubber cupsole underfoot.
