Following a strong re-introduction led by a Cecilie Bahnsen collab and campaign featuring Matty Matheson, the ASICS GEL-CUMULUS 16 is set to keep cooking with more strong GRs for September 2025.

ASICS’ latest Sportstyle bring-back here executes two monochrome colorways, a “Port Royal” and “Stone Wash/Independence Blue.” The GEL-CUMULUS 16 debuted in 2014 as a budget-friendly runner for high mileage, and like other ASICS archive pulls like the ubiquitous GEL-Kayano 14, now finds itself re-positioned as a lifestyle offering. Foot-securing synthetic underlays are the key quality to note up top, while the sole is identical to that of the GEL-NYC (which the GEL-CUMULUS 16 helped inspire).

The ASICS GEL-CUMULUS 16 “Port Royal” and “Stone Wash/Independence Blue” are due out September 2025 via asics.com and retailers, priced at $140 a pop. See official images of both colorways below if you’re considering adding one to your rotation.
