When Vince Carter stamped the “Dunk of Death” in the 2000 Olympics, would anyone have guessed he’d be bringing fame to one of the hottest streetstyle waves of 2025? Certainly, no mood boards are including the earnest basketball models that Vince helped popularize in the aughts, but nonetheless Nike’s Shox technology remains an extremely trendy vertical in their modern catalog.

Though the Shox Ride 2 is threatening to turn that category into a three-headed affair, for the most part, the Nike Shox R4 and Nike Shox TL have carried the torch in recent years. Experimental and vibrant looks have started to gain traction within their runs, yet the latest look for the Nike Shox TL genuinely couldn’t be more restrained, cooking up barely-distinguishable shades of “Wolf Grey” and “IRon Grey” for a comprehensive tonal colorway. The brief aesthetic departures come at the top of the curved TPU brackets on the side and on the branding, helping bring depth to an otherwise one-note variation.

The Nike Shox TL “Wolf Grey” is expected to hit Nike.com and partnering retailers sometime in the near future, retailing for $180.
