Original article published August 21st, 2025:
The hits just keep on coming for the New Balance 991v2. The “Made In UK” silo has seen myriad newswire-dominating collabs since arriving in late 2023, but real New Balance heads know that strong GRs are all that’s truly needed for a model to catch on. Here we have yet another low-key yet compelling look expected in the near future; a “Tapestry Blue” colorway earmarked for Fall/Holiday 2025.
Once again slotting into the “quiet luxury” aesthetic, the 991v2 dresses in standard garb with a mesh base, leather, underlays, and premium suede overlays. The titular “Tapestry Blue” color covers all three major elements, complemented by reflective “N” logos and grey hits on the heel, lining, and laces. Underfoot, a standard white/off-white midsole featuring navy blue accents caps off the delivery. Nothing crazy – just another clean GR focused on form over flash.
The New Balance 991v2 “Tapestry Blue” is expected to release Fall/Winter 2025 for $250; stay tuned for future updates, including official images.
