Air Jordan XX3 “Galaxy” Made For The 2023 Jordan Brand Classic

The Air Jordan 23 might be one of the last sneakers you’d expect to see in the headlines in the year 2025, but here we are. Long Island sneaker showroom LISCO listed a never-before-seen PE created for the 2023 Jordan Brand Classic on eBay; and it’s already sold to a collector.

Purists don’t bat an eye at Jordans outside the 1 through 14, but the Jordan 23 (or Jordan XX3) is widely regarded as one of the brand’s better post-retirement models. Originally released in 2008, Jordan Brand realized the significance of the line’s 23rd chapter and came out with a winner. Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith gave the sneaker a slew of thoughtful touches, including MJ thumbprints on the outsole and inner tongue, an autograph on the toe, and stitching inspired by DNA helixes.

This Jordan Brand Classic PE, created in 2023 for hoopers participating in the Jumpman’s premier high school competition, puts a new spin on the model. A black suede upper featuring lines that look like sun rays replaces the model’s usual DNA stitching, while a multi-color “Galaxy” pattern appears on the midsole. The toe box and tongue are cut from black patent leather, the latter of which reads Jordan Brand Classic in light purple. LISCO’s eBay listing marks the first time we’ve set eyes on the sneaker; it’s currently unknown whether pairs actually ended up in the hands of 2023 Jordan Brand Classic participants.
