Seemingly everyone in the Virginia orbit has been elevated in 2025, and Steven Victor is next up. As the Clipse stamp an ironclad album of the year contender and Pharrell Williams attracts a ton of attention for his adidas Jellyfish, the label executive is teasing his earnest step into footwear.
A glitzy tarmac shoot tacitly announced the project, depicting the executive on steps away from a private jet, with a fleet of Air Max DN8 boxes between it and a Ferrari, bolstered by a “Pure Platinum” pair on feet. A social media teaser, set to the music of former signee Pop Smoke, shines light on the shoe’s inspirations, depicting a boy on a stoop with a racing helmet helmet before giving the same treatment to the Victor Victor logo.
Each of the pieces of the rollout have valued aesthetics over hard info, understandable as this collection hits the ‘net, but the third piece provides the strongest signal; a remodeled version of the brand’s homepage provides a few glimpses of an aquatic gradient version of the Air Max DN8, potentially the collab version that’ll hit the public.
Steven Victor and Nike christened their relationship in 2024 with a friends and family Victor Victor Air Force 1, sporting the canine logo emblazoned on the heel and aligning well with a run of friends and family AF1s dispensed for similar occasions (“Utopia” and “Certified Lover Boy” editions stand out in that regard).
No doubt the Victor Victor x Nike Air Max DN8 will come closer into view in the coming days/weeks. For now, catch select shots from this initial promo efforts included below.
