The Nike Air Rift Goes All Black Leather

More slight tweaks underneath nocturnal aesthetics.

The Nike Air Rift Goes All Black Leather

Fashion-forward design has become something that no brand can ignore. As we return to the Y2K stylings of old, Nike is particularly fitted for the occasion, able to pull from its stable of archive designs to fit the current moment. The Nike Air Rift has been one of its stronger applicants in the category, now leaning on another time-tested formula as it enters an all black edition.

If we were to be all the way correct, perhaps our title would be the “Nike Air Rift goes all black… yet again.” Indeed, this makes almost half a dozen nocturnal editions. Again to its credit, they haven’t been simple reissues; each showcasing the versatility of the silhouette with material and hardware changes to the base tabi-toe construction. For this version, the usual fabric build instead shifts into a sturdier leather, still plenty street-valid but built better for the colder months ahead.

Expect the Nike Air Rift in black to touch down in the coming weeks, retailing for $125. Check out official images below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach for more updates on this shoe and all of the most notable upcoming pairs.
