The Nike Air Max Sunder Roots Out A “Pine Green” Gradient

We wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s lost steam, but the Nike Air Max Sunder has certainly cooled off a bit, a natural development as its gone from anticipated retro to part of the mainline fabric in Beaverton. With debut looks and the built-in demand that comes with them shifting further into the rearview, nailing the right color-ups for the silhouette becomes all the more important to really capture wide attention, rather than just that of hardcore Swoosh scholars. For our money, striking gradient looks are a reliable way to do so, tapped into anew with the Nike Air Max Sunder “Pine Green.”

An ever-trendy touch throughout the Nike catalog, present with established silhouettes like the Air Max Plus or in test-out fashion on the Shox line, this aesthetic is beginning to really gain steam on the Alpha Project product. Predecessors like the “Hyper Violet” or “Obsidian” are earnest precedent for this shoe, utilizing a subtle version of the ombre theme, tastefully darkens from that hue to a richer “Seaweed” at the rear. Otherwise, the “default” Sunder layout persists, with a greyscale sole unit and mudugard, including the defining TPU windows that encircle the Air Max Sunder as a whole.

The Nike Air Max Sunder “Pine Green” hasn’t been confirmed for a specific date just yet, but generally expect a Fall/Winter 2025 introduction and a $190 sticker price. .
