These Unreleased Air Jordan 6 “Black & White” Samples Are 1 Of 1

These Unreleased Air Jordan 6 “Black & White” Samples Are 1 Of 1

It’s not often we see true 1-of-1 samples in this day and age, but this set of unreleased Air Jordan 6s holds that crown. Unliked other unreleased samples that were made for color/material testing,  this Air Jordan 6 was apparently specially made per special request.

Surfacing again on Portland-based sneaker consignment shop Index, this set of Air Jordan 6 offer the iconic 1991 silhouette in an all-black nubuck suede upper with a white Jumpman logo on the tongue and the heel spoiler. Alternately, the white version is build with leather and features an all-black midsole with black on the Jumpman on the tongue and the Jumpman Air on the heel. Both features translucent bottoms that reveal a white layer beneath.

The sample tags date these unreleased pairs to 2012, a year when the Air Jordan 6 was a scarce item. Only two versions of the AJ6 Retro release — the “Olympic” with the flipped midsole and the “Golden Moments” version–hit stores that year, not to be seen again until 2014. From what was shared with us, these were made by special request and no other pairs are known to be in existence.

With 2026 serving as the 35th Anniversary of the AJ6, expect a full offense of colorways, both original and new, to hit stores.
