Matt Varga Divisive as it may be among New Balance hardcores, it’s impossible to deny the success of the New Balance 9060 at this point. Achieving wide adoption within the casual consumer and still liable to earn a hit every so often among genuine sneakerheads, the New Balance 9060 now trots out a shaggy suede variation as fall takes hold.
In much the same way as Nike treats an Air Force 1 or adidas treats a Samba, various seasonal editions are always on tap for the New Balance 9060. The aforementioned shaggy suede panels add a cozier atmosphere on top of the autumnal coloring, while some of the brand’s trademark tonality sneaks onto grey collars, laces, and “N” branding. All told, this isn’t a moment of experimentation for NB by any means, but rather a shoe that anyone can easily see bringing into their overall collection.
Look for the New Balance 9060 “Rich Oak” hitting NB.com and partnering retailers as a part of the overall Fall/Winter 2025 slate. The usual $150 retail price is likely.
