With Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard recently entering the basketball Hall Of Fame, we can’t help but wonder about Derrick Rose’s prospects come 2027-2028. A series of unfortunate injuries kept the Chicago kid from reaching his full potential, but on the other hand, his peak was one of the most memorable of the 21st century. Even more importantly, perhaps, is that Rose is easily one of the most universally beloved hoopers of all time; something that’s sure to factor into HOF voters’ looming decision.
For our purposes, the now-retired Rose still boasts a strong and active partnership with the Three Stripes. Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear Of God Athletics banner tapped D-Rose to help debut the Fear Of God Athletics II Basketball back in December, and it wasn’t long after that a PE Derrick Rose Fear Of God sneaker hit the ‘net. Now a full nine months later, we’re learning that the D-Rose PE will in fact see a public release.
The key D-Rose touches live on the heel, complete with the former MVP’s signature adidas logo and a vibrant red Fear Of God tab (a subtle Bulls reference). The rest of the sneaker is anchored by FOG’s established, muted aesthetic, saddled with grey fabric overlays and off-white mesh underlays.
