BSTN Recreates Oktoberfest For Their adidas München Collaboration

BSTN’s latest adidas collaboration goes down as easy as Hofbräu at Oktoberfest. In celebration of a beloved Bavarian tradition that attracts millions ever year, the Munich-based retailer is staying close to home with Oktoberfest-inspired takes on the adidas München silhouette.

To the uninitiated; the adidas München (or adidas Munich) was originally released in the 1970s as part of adidas’ revered “City Series.” The Gazelle and Handball are probably the shoe’s two most well-known comps, with the main difference being a slim toe overlay as opposed to a t-toe. The München obviously doesn’t get much daylight compared to other terrace classic, but fresh GR colorways began cropping up overseas a few months back.

BSTN has crafted two adidas München colorways; one brown and one tan. As you might expect, it’s the branded touches that make for a truly special project. The word “salute,” which is commonly used for “cheers” in the Bavarian capital, plays a central role, appearing along the stripes in gold and on the tongue as part of a Bavaria-inspired red/green graphic. That same graphic appears on the insoles with BSTN branding, complemented by chain stitching and BSTN’s cursive “B” logo on the backtab.

No release info for the BSTN x adidas München collab has been announced yet, but for what it’s worth, Oktoberfest begins September 20th. See detailed images of both colorways below and stay tuned for updates.
