Hibbett Brings The Energy Of The State Fair To The adidas Superstar

Dallas steps into the unofficial "City Series."

Hibbett Brings The Energy Of The State Fair To The adidas Superstar

We’ve opined and waxed poetic on the “year of the Superstar” on plenty of occasions before, as everyone from Damian Lillard to Pharrell Williams have brought outside energy to the shell toe silhouette in 2025. Amid that wide tapestry of collaborations and special editions, one vein has been of particular interest, roping in sneaker retailers to tell specific region-specific stories on the street icon.

Houston’s Active Athlete brought “Rodeo” aesthetics, Snipes hit on Brooklyn tattoo parlors, and DTLR pulled from Chicago’s state flag in earlier steps. Now Hibbett, headquartered in Alabama but holding a plurality of its retail branches in Texas, is the latest to get in on the action. Traditional cowboy aesthetics inspires the embossed leather, metallic belt buckles lead to the lace dubrae, and the state of Texas’ outline appears on the outsole to make the Southern atmosphere undeniable. Closer ties to the state fair theme are hidden on the insoles, where a corn dog and ferris wheel speak to the usual slate of festivities.

As with many of its predecessors, the Hibbett x adidas Superstar will be a rather limited affair, with only 1320 pairs produced. You’ll get a chance to pick up a pair with the “State Fair” celebration in Dallas on September 20th from 2 PM to 8 PM, where a range of typical state fair activities descend on a Hibbett branch on Robert B. Cullum Boulevard. Otherwise, September 20th is the wide release date, with stock releasing via Hibbett in-store and online — retail is set at $100.
