Updated September 26th, 2025: Patta has announced that much of their upcoming Air Max DN8 capsule will be region-locked or otherwise geographically exclusive. The “Club Gold” and “Game Royal” will see a limited release in North America, releasing via Nike SNKRS on October 1st. The “Cyber” and “Orange Frost” will be even more limited, only available at the brand’s upcoming Los Angeles activation on September 26th and 27th hosted with the help of Union, Kids of Immigrants, and Awake. The address is 5075 West Adams Blvd, open 9/26-27 from 10am-10pm PST.
The white pair depicted in on-feet shots and the black pair are notably absent from this announcement. However, the black has been cropping up on retail calendars, perhaps hinting at those two being the wide release pairs of this crop. We’ll keep you posted with any additional updates as they come. Especially in recent times, Patta’s approach to collaboration has always been “when it rains, it pours.” When news broke that they’d be returning to their “Waves” concept on the Air Max 90, the collection quickly jumped from two to four. The imprint is again upping the ante as we enter Q4. Instead of the two patent leather editions we were anticipating, there are an unbelievable six colorways of the Patta x Nike Air Max DN8 in the works.
Some of these editions trickle out through the typical “official images” route, and a few come first via in-hand or on-foot shots. Again, those who have been following this story are likely familiar with the glimmering black and blue pairs. From there, we catch sight of more vibrant “Orange Frost” and “Cyber” editions, utilizing the same glossy leather while pinning tropical tones as the focus. Rounding out the sextet are two pairs that hit on more neutral tones, spread across a tan/gold variant with blue and grey detailing, and a pure white version whose central feature is a beige contrast toe.
It’s again a moment where the difference between the rollout of the Air Max Dn and Air Max DN8 is apparent. The former went a somewhat understated route, making a splash with nearly a dozen debut colorways dropping on Air Max Day, but almost wholly relying on in-house colorways as the months went on. The eight-chambered silhouette has taken an altogether different route, only gaining momentum as its introduction gets further into the rearview. Patta’s six-headed family marks the fifth collaboration we’ve caught wind, following the work of Better Gift Shop, Victor Victor, Cav Empt, and Paris Saint-Germain. Granting the widest collection yet to an imprint so influential in the history of Air Max is only a natural play.
Release details for the Patta x Nike Air Max DN8 in any of these colorways remain unknown, but a sign-up page on the brand’s website indicates a launch should be coming in short order.
