Original article published September 30th, 2025:

Nike cracked open the vault to the Posite aisle, re-releasing some highly-coveted gems like the Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” while debuting mythical samples like the “Carbon Fiber”. It’s younger sibling, the Air Flightposite One, has also been sharing the spotlight as several nostalgic and refreshed styles are expected to hit stores later in 2025.

This blend of the familiar “Eggplant” with navy blue uppers is actually a Player Exclusive created for NBA legend and current Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd, once the face of Nike Basketball’s non-signature product line. First made just for the All-Star athlete, this Air Flightposite release eventually hit Foot Locker’s forgotten House Of Hoops initiative with a super-scarce number of pairs hitting the market.

Now, this obscure issue will be available to the masses as Nike has officially placed it on the release slate for the final quarter of 2025 (a release date has not yet been confirmed). This won’t feature any of Kidd’s numbering on the tongue, and it doesn’t have the original medial sole design (much to the chagrin of purists), but it’s still a strong colorway nonetheless.

Enjoy a first look at official images ahead and stay tuned for the release on SNKRS and select retailers for $240.
