The Nike Ava Rover Casts A Stormy “Black/Royal”

Updated October 7th, 2025: The shoes are available now on Nike.com for $145.

Whether it will end up catching on is a different story entirely, but the very existence of the Nike Ava Rover bodes well for the trajectory of Nike’s lifestyle category. The Beaverton brand has incorporated ReactX cushioning into an entirely fresh silhouette that speaks directly to the “gorpcore” crowd, delivering a strong combination of tech and trendiness.

Next up for the Ava Rover is a “Black/Royal” colorway for Holiday 2025, shown here via official images. The color blocking sticks to the formula established thus far, complete with a black fabric upper and “Royal” on the TPU mudguard and ReactX midsole — both of which feature the same sort of tactical, digital-esque grooves.

The Nike Ava Rover “Black/Royal” is due out Holiday 2025 (meaning between October and December) via Nike and select retailers. The model retails for $145, putting it squarely in the middle ground when it comes to Nike Sportswear silhouettes.

Elsewhere in Nikeland, the Air Max 95 “Solar Red” releases October 10th.
