Original article published October 2nd, 2025:

London-based creative MRBAILEY — the mind behind Concept Kicks — is set to release his latest collaboration with adidas, this time bringing his transformative powers to the adidas adiZero Aruku silhouette.

As we’ve come to expect from MRBAILEY, the project is highly nuanced. The sneaker, called the Aruku Yagi (which translates to “walking goat”), draws inspiration from the adaptability and biological geometry of goats, transforming the Aruku with new traction inspired by cloven goat hooves. If we’re to guess where that inspiration stems from, adidas’ press materials call out adiZero creator Toshiaki Omori, who hails from Japan — a country where mountain goats are plentiful — making the “goat” reference a potential nod to Omori’s own status in sneaker design.

The silhouette is engineered around motion, featuring pronounced heel and toe springs that create a natural rocking stance. Every asymmetric detail — from a molded external heel counter to a speed lacing system — is designed to visually articulate movement, while a lugged outsole and exaggerated proportions ground the design in both utility and identity. Having accomplished plenty from a sneaker engineering standpoint, the colorway opts for a simple all-black finish.

The MRBAILEY x adidas Aruku Yagi will be available globally November 2025 via concept-k.com and adidas.com. MRBAILEY has also shared a “Cinder Grey” version of the silhouette, though no release plans for that pair have been announced. See detailed images below if you’re planning to cop.
