The Air Jordan 4 “Somos Eternos” Joins The Día de Muertos Collection

As we’ve now noted on numerous occasions, Jordan Brand’s overtures to the Spanish-speaking world are only growing stronger and more voluminous. Supported in 2024 by the Air Jordan 5 “El Grito,” minted and released for Mexican Independence Day, these laser-focused editions are becoming an increasingly common sight in the Retro register. Now represented by recent additions like the Air Jordan 3 “El Vuelo,” the initiative has crept far beyond the still sentimental but more widely accessible fare you might have spotted on previous sportswear collections.

If you accept that grouping, said category is set to add what’ll no doubt be its most coveted edition to date, the Air Jordan 4 “Somos Eternos.” Marching on as the current belt holder in terms of overall hype and cultural cachet, the Air Jordan 4 embraces the floral detailing worn by its aforementioned peers, with delicate branches spreading across an off-white upper. Pure white anchors those touches on the Wings, mudguard, collar, and outsole, while patches of “Seafoam” green touch the eye-stays and, notably, a speckled midsole. If you doubt the “special edition” subtitle attached to this Air Jordan 4, peep the solar tongue tag, the attached bangles at the toe, or the packaging, cementing the “Somos Eternos” title and mirroring the dense geometry used throughout this shoe.

Despite these official shots populating Nike servers, we can’t say the same for official release details. Expect the Air Jordan 4 “Somos Eternos” to touch down in close proximity to Día de Muertos, either sometime in October or, at the latest, in early November. A $230 retail price in adult sizing is confirmed. We’ll keep this page and our Jordan Release Dates hub up to date with the latest as it comes.
