Palace is releasing a Nike Football collection centered around the Total 90 III SP — and they’ve found the perfect frontman to help show it off.
The London-based skate brand has tapped legendary English soccer player Wayne Rooney — one of many players who championed the Total 90 III boot in the 2000s — to be the face of its upcoming Nike Football lineup. English footballer Reece James, current captain of Chelsea FC, can also be seen rocking upcoming apparel in the gallery below.
Our focus, as always, is on the footwear side of things. The Total 90 III SP — the lifestyle version of the synonymous soccer boot — here matches the Nike Football logo with “Volt” detailing. Albeit not the clearest set of images, the gallery below shows metallic silver side panels, a white leather quilted toe, and “Volt” hits on the outsole and encircled “90” branding.
Isn’t Palace partnered with adidas?
Palace formerly had a partnership deal with adidas, but that ended last year. This Total 90 III SP collection is one of two upcoming Nike collabs, joined by a yet-to-be-unveiled Air Max DN8. Palace is a skateboarding brand, so its rather interesting that neither model is a skate shoe.
What Palace Nike apparel is releasing?
Palace x Nike Football apparel items include sleeveless shirts and shorts, tracksuit tops and bottoms, hoodies, and even a performance crewneck.
When does the Palace Nike collection release?
No release info has been made public as of this writing, it’s already quite clear that the two sides are already getting their marketing in order. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.
